The SEFP Board Members present at the 2012 Investor Reception

State Rep Frank Kloucek presents Nancy Larsen with an engraved State Capitol clock at the 2012 Investor Reception in Menno, SD.
HISTORY
In 1997 a 20+ group of interested citizens living in the Southeast part of South Dakota heard presentations of Enterprise Facilitation® and it made sense for rural economic development. At that time, the group formed a board of directors, applied for the non-profit status with the IRS and also applied for a 3-year grant in collaboration with two other Enterprise Facilitation® projects in South Dakota to jumpstart the projects. A 501C3 application was completed and approved in 2001.
BUDGET
Beyond the initial grant funding, solid annual local financial support is gained from Counties, Cities, Development Corporations, Banks, Cooperatives, Corporations, and other business organizations, plus former clients. The need of services is shown through the statistics of activity. Client tell their stories during SEFP Annual meetings and can be read within the Annual and Semi-Annual Reports. (See also the Business Start-ups, Business Expansion and/or the Business Retention tabs in this website.)
