BACKGROUND:  A group of wildlife enthusiasts saw the need to maintain the habitat for future generations and began meeting to develop organizational rules, secure a Federal ID number and organize the first membership banquet in March 2006.  They decided to form a SD non-profit organization and apply for the IRS non-profit designation as well.  SEFP assisted in the process.

ASSISTANCE REQUESTED:  Organizational assistance

RESULTS:  A Non-Profit Organization

QUOTABLE:  “The bulk of the W.H.A.M. membership is made up of farmers and when faced with putting all of the organizational pieces together, we needed help.  We appreciate the SEFP services provided because it would have taken much longer to complete without the assistance.  Thanks go to Centerville City, Centerville Development and Turner County for continuing to fund SEFP.”
